What is Adobe Sign?

The Adobe Sign services enable users to eSign documents and forms, send them to others for signature, track the document status in real-time, receive notifications when people sign, send reminders when they don’t, and maintain an automatic audit trail.

Adobe Sign is an Adobe cloud-based document solution that replaces paper and ink signature processes with fully automated electronic signature (e-signature) workflows. With it, you can easily send, sign, track, and manage signature processes using a browser or mobile device.

Some of Adobe Sign Enterprise’s capabilities that help us improve Rice University’s signature approval processes are:

• Form Templates. Build form templates to share in your group or across campus. Add validations! Allow or require people in a workflow to attach supporting documentation.
• Preset Custom Workflows. Build tailored signature/approval workflows to share in your groups. Flexible but preconfigured for school administration, HR, VPAA, Provost, Payroll, etc. No need to remember or figure out to whom you need to send a document for approval.
• Webforms. Set up web forms (Adobe Sign widgets) for groups that don’t have Adobe Sign accounts (Students, Alumni, etc.) but that need to initiate forms. Then, the requests are automatically routed through Adobe Sign for internal approvals and processing.
• MegaSign. Create and send forms for signature to large groups of people, like a mass mailing. No need to send them individually. Track and send reminders.

Adobe Sign Enterprise was selected for use at Rice University because many at Rice were already familiar with the basic Adobe Sign capabilities and because of the synergies with Adobe Creative Cloud. Key benefits include:
